Keep Healthy


Keeping healthy is not rocket science. We all aspire to be that fit and healthy pensioner who is still cycling and exercising, but chances are that he or she is still fit and healthy because of the life they have led.

There are some illnesses in later life that we cannot avoid and we may end up having to take asthma or arthritis medication however fit we keep ourselves, but the stronger our body is the better we can cope with even these illnesses.

Healthy eating can never be underestimated, and contrary to popular belief it is not actually that difficult or expensive. Eating processed food is not good for your body and you should try to avoid it however tempting the burger or biscuits are. As an example, it is easy and cheap to make a filling nutritious soup that will last for two or three days for lunch.

Many people prefer to avoid the subject of exercise. They know they should do it but there is always some excuse. Not enough time. Something else pressing to do. But it is vital and it need not be expensive. Just taking the time to walk more on a regular basis will improve your fitness and save petrol.

Keeping healthy is to a large extent in our own hands and yet we are for some reason unwilling to take on this responsibility. We end up paying for this in later life.
