Tomorrow, but tomorrow often never comes. We are intelligent people, we know the risks of being overweight, and yet many of us still do not do anything about it. Many of us would be shocked if we knew just how bad it is and how it is affecting our life. We kid ourselves that we are not really overweight. But can we stand up to the test (and harsh truth!) of our BMI . While even this is not the ideal tool, as there can be some variations for athletes and other types of people, it is a very good indicator of our current weight and the risks associated. You cannot ignore it, if you are straying over the 25 figure, then it really is time to face up to things and make some changes. The problem is, that often we already know what we have to do. Ditch the processed and fatty foods. Drink less alcohol. Take regular exercise. It really is not rocket science, and you will feel better in yourself after just a few weeks. Yet we still kid ourselves that everything is OK, and we are not willing to change our lifestyle to help ourselves. Strange, isn't it? |
